Export · Chapters

One script, one file per feature.

Blank lines make chapters. Chapters export as separate, numbered MP4s. When one screen changes, one file is re-rendered.

Why chapters are the unit

A help centre wants a short video next to each feature. A release wants the one video that changed. A sales deck wants the ninety-second cut. All of these are chapters of one script, exported as needed. The Export menu offers the whole tutorial or one file per chapter; each chapter card has its own export too.

What export does

Technical details, for the people who ask.

01

Tab capture, native size

Records the tab itself at its real pixel size, up to 2880 by 1800, at 30 frames per second.

02

MP4 first, WebM if not

H.264 MP4 where Chrome supports it, WebM otherwise. No watermark, no re-encode.

03

Narration in the track

Tab audio and the narrator go through one mixer into the file. Already synced.

04

Numbered files

Tutorial name, then 01 Chapter name, 02, 03. Drop the folder into your help centre.

05

Pause and resume

If a beat cannot find its element, the recording pauses on a sheet: fix it, skip it, or stop. Paused time is left out of the file.

06

Stop recording, anywhere

A pinned red button at the top of the panel while recording. Stopping keeps what was recorded so far.

Red flags

Export waits until every beat is pinned.

Beats that rehearsal could not place are flagged in red with the reason, and the Export button shows the count. Fix them by rewording, pointing, or recording the actions by hand, and the count goes away.

Exporting

1

Allow recording once

Right-click the page and choose Allow Tuti Tuti to record this tab.

2

Choose whole or chapters

From the Export menu at the top right, or a chapter card's own export link.

3

Find the files

In Downloads, named and numbered. The export log under Checks says what happened.

Chapters and export: the questions people ask

Can I make one tutorial video per feature without recording each separately?
Yes. Write the tour as chapters separated by blank lines and choose one file per chapter when exporting. Each chapter becomes its own numbered MP4.
What format and resolution is the video?
MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio where Chrome supports it, otherwise WebM. Resolution is the tab's own size, up to 2880 by 1800, at 30 frames per second.
Why does Chrome say the extension cannot record?
Tab capture needs a nod from you once per tab: right-click the page and choose Allow Tuti Tuti to record this tab, or click the toolbar icon on that tab, then press Export again.
GIF or video for documentation?
Video, with captions. GIFs have no sound, no captions, and poor colour; a short MP4 with word-synced captions is lighter and clearer. Chapter export makes the short ones easy.
Where should I host tutorial videos?
YouTube for reach and free hosting, your help centre's own video support for in-context playback, or a Notion page for internal training. The files are plain MP4s, so anywhere.
What happens if a step fails during export?
The recording pauses, the recorder pauses with it, and the panel shows the beat with the reason. Fix it and retry, skip it, or stop and keep what you have. Paused time is not in the file.

Export what changed. Keep the rest.
