Canada · Data residency

Accounts in Montréal. Recordings on your own machine.

Built in Canada, hosted in Canada, and designed so the thing that matters most, your recordings, never reaches a server at all.

What lives where

Scripts, tutorials, generated narration, and exported videos: your browser and your Downloads folder. Account records, plan, sign-in, and a count of exported seconds: Google Cloud's Montréal region, held by us. Identity confirmation if you choose Sign in with Google: Google, in the United States. Payments: Stripe. That is the whole map.

Why this shape

Residency by design, not by assurance.

01

Nothing to leak

The server never receives a recording, a script, or a page. There is no dataset of your product to protect because it does not exist.

02

Montréal for everything we hold

Firestore, Functions, and the site's server run in northamerica-northeast1. One region, one story.

03

Every province's rules

A Canadian region satisfies Quebec's Law 25, British Columbia's and Nova Scotia's public-sector residency rules, and PIPEDA's expectations. The privacy policy is written to PIPEDA's ten principles and to Law 25.

04

No trackers

No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no third-party scripts on the site beyond fonts.

05

Models only in rehearsal

Narration and AI checks use services you choose. The no-transfer path is Chrome's on-device model and the browser voice.

06

Deletion in one step

Delete your account from the account page. Everything we hold about you goes with it.

Public sector

What a department asks, answered up front.

Data location in Canada, a written data map, no personal data on our servers by design, accessible output with captions and spoken locations, a privacy policy to PIPEDA and Law 25, terms under Ontario law, yearly seats by purchase order in Canadian dollars. French interface is in progress.

Due diligence in three reads

1

The privacy policy

What is collected, where it lives, what leaves Canada and why.

2

The terms

Plans, acceptable use, governing law in Ontario.

Canadian data residency: the questions people ask

Where is my data stored?
Account records in Google Cloud's Montréal region, in Canada. Your recordings, scripts, and tutorials are stored only in your browser and your Downloads folder.
Does anything leave Canada?
Your account record stays in Canada. Two things are processed outside it: the confirmation of your identity by Google if you choose Sign in with Google, and payment details, which Stripe processes. Narration text goes to the voice service you use, from your browser.
Is Tuti Tuti HIPAA compliant?
Tuti Tuti is not designed to handle protected health information and does not claim HIPAA compliance. Its servers hold no recordings and no page content; if a tutorial shows health data, that data stays on the maker's computer.
Can a Government of Canada department buy it?
Yes, as commercial off-the-shelf software under the low-dollar-value threshold: Canadian data residency, documented data flows, yearly seats by purchase order and invoice in Canadian dollars, and terms under Ontario law. Write to hello@tutituti.ca for the data map and a quote.
Is the interface available in French?
The script and narration can be in any language today. A French interface for the panel and the site is in progress.
Can I verify the region myself?
Yes. The site's server, the Functions, and the database are all in northamerica-northeast1, visible in the headers and in the data map we provide.

Made in Canada. Kept in Canada.

And the part that matters never leaves your desk.
